Filipe Toledo Proves Earth Is Flat With Horizon-Adjacent Straight Air

<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/254350256" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>

Words vai Stab: If the Earth was actually a globe like all of you Slater-sycophants tend to believe, and not a flat rectangle with NASA-guarded ice-walls along the edges like all the true evidence points to, then tell me this: How is Filipe's horizon-adjacent straight air, at 1:58 in the video above, not a direct affront to the core principles of Hellenistic Astrology as posited by the overtly narcissistic "scientist", Emerick R. Sphereplanet, in 300 B.C.? Exactly, you can't. Because the Earth is flat. Thank you Filipe for proving what all woke-minded Evangelicals have known for millennia. And let us celebrate this momentous victory by watching Brazilian filmmaker Erick Proost's 2017 hype reel, featuring ADS doing backside snaps, Leticia Bufoni doing skateboard things, and John Florence on exactly one wave. This is #FlatEarthSurfing and it is delightful.

The Julian Wilson "Serious Fun Weekend" took place on the 10th February. A fun event where some of Australia's best Junior talents were invited to compete. One of those talents was our team rider Xavier Huxtable. The invitational event took on the WCT format from Round 4 giving all contestants the opportunity to surf twice and was held a short drive south at Yaroomba beach. In fun 3-4 feet peaks, Xavier took out the event (over Ethan Stocks) along with the much coveted prize package, which included a replica of the surfboard Julian and his older brothers grew up surfing on and a trip with Julian to film his next web edit… which will also be entered in the Oakley Battle of the Clips Contest. Xavier's board that took him to victory was: 5'9 x 18 5/8 x 2 5/16 - 25.5L new HT2 model.

Words by Stab Magazine: Marcio Zouvi is the man who makes Filipe Toledo’s contest-winning crafts. He’s a 48-year-old based in San Diego, and has been shaping for 29 years. He made 2400 boards in the last year, and two of those were for Stab in the Dark: “I actually made two boards, the second board came out good and I liked it. It’s based on the Oliver Kurtz model. It has a lot of rocker and Filipe Toledo uses it a lot when the waves are good, so it was my best bet to suit West Oz. This board will need energy and punchy waves.” Says Julian of the #13: “Thirteen would require a steep, clean wave like Indonesia. I’d love to ride it at Macaronis; any wave with a perfect, steep wall that doesn’t change. You could get really mechanical on it. You’d have really good control once you got the fins through the lip. I’d take it on a boat trip any day.”
