New Zealand powerhouse and Sharpeye team rider Billy Stairmand has had a great start to his year bagging a 3rd place at the 2020 Mothernest Great Lakes Pro, Men’s QS 1000 event.
“I came here to try out a bunch of new boards and hopefully get the ball rolling for the QS5000 in Newcastle and the Challenger Series in Sydney” Billy said. After his convincing quarter final win against his American opponent Sam Coffey, Billy booked himself a spot into the Semifinals; his second semi-final appearance in as many years.
Unfortunately Billy didn’t make it past his Semi eventually loosing out to fellow New Zealander Elliot Paerata-Reid and collecting himself a well earned 3rd place.
Billy rides HT2 - 5’7” X 18 5/8 X 2 3/16, Disco Inferno and other Sharpeye models. If you’re interested in getting your mitts on a new Sharpeye blade visit the Sharpeye website, one of our licensed authorised dealers or pop into The Glass Lab at Tweed Heads where the team from Sharpeye will be happy to help you out.
Good luck for the rest of the QS season.
