With all the latest WCT events happening right here on Australian shorelines, we at Sharpeye have the opportunity to pick up many of our teamriders secondhand boards from the tour. Two of which are Filipe Toledo (currently 3rd on the leaderboard) and Kanoa Igarashi (5th). With these two having a solid chance of taking out the world title, we decided to have a breakdown of the boards they'll be riding in the next stop on the WCT: Jeffrey's Bay.
Filipe Toledo has already won last year's J-Bay event, coming in with a combined score of 16.8 on his 77 model, a close win against his competitor Wade Carmichael. This time around he is fired up to get another back-to-back win, especially after the celebrations of recieving a back-to-back win at the Rio Pro 2019.
Kanoa Igarashi is also motivated to to be the one standing on the podium at this years J-Bay event. After being beaten in the Quarterfinals against Filipe Toledo last year, we're certain Kanoa's going to give it his all to take the winning title. With the confidence of his first ever CT win at Keramas this year, Kanoa is definitely going to be a tough contender.
Here's a quick breakdown of the boards we can expect Filipe and Kanoa to be riding:
