The World Title race is close with only two WCT events left before crowning the best in the world for the 2019 season.
Filipe Toledo is currently sitting 2nd place on the leaderboard behind Gabriel Medina, and he aims to keep pressure on Medina’s hopes of clinching the World Title. Despite some back pain in yesterdays heat at the Meo Pro in Portugal, Filipe advances into the round of 32 and is still determined to keep his World Title hopes alive.
“It’s definitely been a lot of ups and downs… I know something special is going to happen. I’m just taking it easy, not putting pressure on myself. I’m just trying to keep my back ready and be 100% focused for next year or Pipe and whatever comes my way. It’s been wild.”
Here are the 2019 World Title Scenarios:
If Medina wins in Portugal:
If Medina gets a 2nd in Portugal:
If Medina gets a 3rd in Portugal the World Title race goes to Pipe.
