Our Victorian junior legend Xavier Huxtable has been given one of the wild cards to the 58th Rip Curl Bells Beach Pro.
He has had a string of great results and dropped some epic clips already this year.
This kid has been apart of the Sharp Eye team since day one here in Australia and we are stoked to see him rise into a junior star in the ocean.
Xavier showed the world what his surfing could do during his round one match up against fellow team rider Filipe Toledo, ( who was on fire) and 11-time champion Kelly Slater. He kept his feet on the board and the rail throwing buckets putting Kelly on alert and just missing out on taking down the GOAT.
Unfortunately, Xavier was narrowly eliminated in an all Australian heat against 2018 Rookie of the year Wade Carmicheal and 2019 tour rookie Soli Bailey. He had an amazing score of 11.40 2 wave total, which was higher than the winner of the previous heat.
We are so stoked for this little dude and can't wait to see him more and more on the worlds stage where he belongs.
